2021 APA California Chapter Awards

Several PlaceWorks projects received state-level recognition at APA California’s Annual Conference in September. In addition to the seven APA California section-level awards announced earlier in the year, four PlaceWorks projects were recognized with statewide awards at the virtual ceremony.

• The Long Beach Southeast Area Specific Plan and EIR received the 2021 Hard-Won Victory Award of Excellence.

• The Richmond Ferry to Bridge to Greenway Complete Streets Plan was awarded the 2021 Transportation Planning Award of Excellence.

• The West Athens-Westmont 10-Minute Walk Campaign was awarded the 2021 Opportunity and Empowerment Award of Excellence.

• The Brea Connecting the Core Active Transportation Plan was recognized with the 2021 Transportation Planning Award of Merit.
