The American Planning Association (APA) Small Town and Rural (STaR) Planning Division has awarded the Butte County Upper Ridge Community Plan the 2022 Vernon Deines Award for Outstanding Comprehensive Plan for a Large Jurisdiction.

PlaceWorks has been hard at work supporting local agencies throughout California during the 6th Housing Element Update Cycle. In this cycle alone, our team has already helped over 40 jurisdictions achieve adopted and compliant Housing Elements, with three more expected by the end of the year.

As part of our ongoing efforts to encourage meaningful change within the profession, PlaceWorks has partnered with four other firms—Ascent, Dudek, Environmental Science Associates, and Rincon—to establish the Environmental and Planning Diversity Internship Program.
