OPR Case Study Highlights Butte County Upper Ridge Community Plan
The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) recently published a series of resources to help communities and local agencies throughout California plan for wildfire season. Available through OPR’s online Adaptation Clearinghouse, new wildfire planning resources include a range of tools, data, and case studies.
The Butte County Upper Ridge Community Plan is featured as part of OPR’s Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Planning Best Practices and praised for its holistic approach toward wildfire resilience planning. Adopted in March of 2022, the award-winning plan establishes a community‐supported, long‐term vision for a thriving, resilient, and sustainable region.
