Originally an intimate agricultural suburb, over the last 50 years Temple City has become highly sought after for its quality of life, cultural diversity, excellent schools, family orientation, safe environment, and civic engagement. The Mid-Century Plan was a community-driven effort that channeled the city’s strengths to create a unified vision for the future.

Regular outreach and communication with residents, business owners, public officials, and other stakeholders defined the goals, policies, and implementation strategies to achieve the city’s full potential. As part of this effort, PlaceWorks designed graphically rich and user-friendly outreach materials to engage and communicate with stakeholders. Outreach for the Mid-Century Plan included face-to-face conversations, festivals, and workshops fully integrated with current networks, as well as outreach tools such as Temple City Connect magazine and an interactive “Make TC Happen” website.
