The Lincoln at Euclid residential project proposed 115 dwelling units and was on a 7.17-acre site between I-5, railroad tracks, and two major arterial roadways; compliance with the State’s Title 24 interior noise requirements was critical. PlaceWorks conducted short- and long-term, one-third-octave-band noise measurements and used the Federal Highway Administration’s “Traffic Noise Model” to predict future noise exposure at the project site. We recommended a combination of sound walls, exterior building construction materials, and sound-rated windows and doors to attain compliance with State and local interior noise requirements.
