The form-based standards will ensure that new development in this emerging urban center contributes positively to Burbank’s community character. The new standards, which are tightly integrated with the City’s existing Zoning Ordinance, are designed to facilitate development of new housing in Downtown Burbank as part of mixed-use projects. The form-based requirements are based on a comprehensive review of the existing built form and current City land use policies, as well as input from key stakeholders and members of the public.
