New Board Members Appointed

We are excited to announce the appointment of two highly accomplished industry leaders to PlaceWorks’ Board of Directors—Michael Bishop, Sr. and Tim Lattimer. These strategic appointments will provide PlaceWorks’ leadership team with valuable insights and guidance as we look to the future. “We’re thrilled to have Michael and Tim join our Board of Directors,” said Keith McCann, PlaceWorks Chairman of the Board. “Their impressive track records and unmatched expertise will help PlaceWorks continue to evolve and grow, and we look forward to their contributions.”
Michael Bishop, Sr.Michael is a retired Chief Business Officer and owner of Michael Bishop & Associates. For over 40 years, he provided consulting services for a variety of public entities and nonprofit clients across California, most of which were school districts, including Santa Ana USD, Compton USD, and Paramount USD, to name a few. Currently, he serves in a construction and risk consulting role for the Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs (ASCIP), and he’s actively involved with the Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team (FCMAT), an independent State agency created to support local educational agencies throughout California. Michael is a faculty member in the USC School Business Management Certificate Program and serves on the Citizen’s Oversight Committee for Long Beach USD.
As noted by Dwayne Mears, Board member and Schools Practice Leader, “Michael has been a leader, advisor, and mentor in the schools’ arena for decades. Having worked with Michael over the years, I am excited about collaborating with him and having him as a resource and strategic partner for our Schools Practice.”
Tim LattimerTim is a sustainable development and climate change expert with over 30 years of public service, preceded by 10 years of private sector success as an environmental planner. He possesses proven leadership, strategic planning, team building, agency coordination, and program administration skills. Tim is currently the Administrator for the Office of Community Sustainability for Howard County, Maryland. Prior to this, he served in various leadership positions with the U.S. State Department in the last three presidential administrations, most recently as Branch Chief for Strategy and Integration in the Office of Global Change, Bureau of Oceans, Environment & Science. Tim began his career as a CEQA practitioner in Southern California, working with P&D Technologies (now part of AECOM), PBR, and PRC.
