Brian Judd Appointed CEO

PlaceWorks is excited to announce the appointment of Brian Judd as our new Chief Executive Officer. Brian succeeds Keith McCann, who is stepping down from the position after more than a decade.

Brian has been with PlaceWorks for over 24 years and has successfully held a range of leadership roles within the company, including Board Member, Managing Principal, and most recently, Chief Operating Officer. Over the years, his contributions have been pivotal to PlaceWorks’ ongoing growth and success. Brian’s deep industry knowledge, first-hand operational experience, and unwavering commitment to our core values make him the ideal candidate to lead PlaceWorks into the future.

Upon accepting the role, Brian expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “PlaceWorks has consistently been at the forefront of addressing California’s increasingly complex challenges. We are dedicated problem solvers, driven by a commitment to making our communities more vibrant, sustainable, and equitable places. I am honored and humbled to help lead, as well as support, our amazing staff, who embody these values day in and day out.”

We are grateful to Keith for his years of leadership, starting in 2006 as Chief Operating & Financial Officer and then as CEO starting in 2011. During his tenure, PlaceWorks experienced unprecedented growth and solidified our position as an industry leader. Keith will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board and will work closely with Brian to ensure a smooth transition.
