2026 EEPIC Program Now Open
PlaceWorks is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Environmental, Engineering, and Planning Internship and Charrette (EEPIC) program through February 13, 2026.
Now in its 5th year, the EEPIC program promotes the expansion of the environmental, engineering, economics, and planning industries to more accurately reflect the communities where we live, work, and serve. We’re proud to offer professional development and networking opportunities to students pursuing degrees in these fields, including but not limited to students who represent Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as veterans, individuals with disabilities, and/or students who are first in their families to go to college.
Program Highlights:
- Work in-person at one of PlaceWorks’ offices in Berkeley, Los Angeles, Orange County, or Sacramento for 3-4 months over the summer.
- Participate in a unique two-week charrette in the city of San Diego, collaborating with other students and professionals on a real-world project.
- Conduct assignments in the field, participate in public outreach, analyze data, and contribute to research.
The program is open to junior and senior undergraduates, as well as graduate students. EEPIC is a collaborative effort between PlaceWorks and six other firms—Ascent, Dudek, ESA, Economic & Planning Systems, Fehr & Peers, and Rincon.
