2024 PlaceWorks Scholarship Recipients

We are excited to announce our 2024 scholarship recipients—Miles Kim Parr and Raini Do! The PlaceWorks Scholarship Program, which is now in its 4th year, was established to provide financial assistance to individuals from historically underrepresented groups pursuing degrees in planning, urban design, architecture, environmental planning, landscape architecture, and related fields.

Miles Kim Parr is a graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Design and Development. After completing his studies, Miles hopes to work alongside historically divested communities in Los Angeles to create accessible public areas and much-needed urban green space.

Raini Do is a graduate student at the University of California, Irvine, and is pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning. Raini’s background is rooted in historical and ethnic studies, and after graduating, he is planning to pursue projects that help develop Asian American communities. This summer, we’re excited to have Raini join our team as an intern in our Orange County office.

Please join us in congratulating Miles and Raini!
