The Visalia Unified School District sought to acquire approximately 26.29 acres of land owned by the College of the Sequoias Agriculture Department for the proposed expansion of the Visalia Technical Early College High School program.

In advance of the land purchase, PlaceWorks conducted an electromagnetic field survey to determine if the project would create or exacerbate an existing hazard in order to help the district assess potential strategies for moving forward.
