Napa River Flood Control Project Interpretive Signage

PlaceWorks designed a series of interpretive signs for a 100-year flood protection project by Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project used an innovative “living river” strategy that preserved natural flow patterns and biotic regimes. The signage conveys these strategies as well as the ecology and history of the Napa River area. Signs are placed at key viewing areas and heavily visited sites along the river, bringing the story of the living river to life.
