Electrical Facilities Siting

With the 900+ rural electricity co-ops in the United States growing twice as fast as investor-owned power companies, siting new generation and transmission facilities is an important part of providing and maintaining services. Siting Electric Generation and Transmission Facilities: A Guide to Securing Federal State and Local Approvals helps rural electricity co-ops troubleshoot siting and permitting processes. Distributed and renewable energy resources are also covered, and three web conferences were presented across the country to explain the features and findings from the guidebook.
